EDUCATIONAL THERAPY
Educational Therapy is not tutoring, its main goal is to uncover the underlying causes of learning problems. Educational Therapy addresses the student’s individualized learning problems, as well as their individualized learning styles and skills. Sessions focus on auditory and visual processing, attention and focus, and discrimination and memory skills, academic skills such as reading, writing, and math are re-mediated utilizing a multi-sensory approach. Students learn to learn through their strengths and how to apply these skills in all subjects and settings.
TUTORING
Tutoring focuses on re-teaching academic skills already learned. This is beneficial for students who typically have no learning disabilities or issues. This is for the student who needs additional focus on a specific content area, a student who is behind or a student who wants to get ahead.
